As an image maker I am
concerned with influences of culture on individuals and society. Working in
photography I have found that the portrait is something that is most intriguing
as every subject is unique.
Some aspects of my personal work occasionally
reflect certain notions of the documentary or fine art approach however I do
not work to any particular constrained method.
Currently my work centers round
the individual portrait and the detailed references of culture that the subject
allows the camera to see. My projects tend to originate from my own concerns as
an individual and develop as a way of seeking understanding with the aims to
communicate this to others through a visual medium. I aim to further develop my
work exploring new ways of visually communicating my ideas to an audience.
